Request for nominations and notice of motion
On behalf of Gymnastics Tasmania, we would like to request any notice of motions and director nominations to be put forward at the upcoming Gymnastics Tasmania AGM to be held at Tasmanian Gymnastics Centre, Kingborough Gymsports, 10 Kingston View Dr, Kingston TAS 7050 at 12pm.
Any notice of motions to be put forward to the AGM must be received 28 days prior to the AGM on the 28 February 2021. Any notice of Motion may be emailed to gymtas@gymnastics.org.au or posted to Gymnastics Australia, Level 3, 100 Albert Road, South Melbourne, VIC 3205.
Nominations are called for the following three positions:
- Elected Director position – two-year term
- Elected Director position – two-year term
- Elected Director position – two-year term
The required nomination form for the positions of Elected Director is to be completed and signed by the nominator and nominee and returned to the office by close of business (5.00pm AEST) Sunday 28 February 2021.
The Elected Directors retiring in accordance with the Constitution are:
- Leigh Oswin
- Peter Doody
- Gideon Cordover
These Elected Directors are eligible for re-election.
The board specifically seeks nominations from individuals with skills and/or qualifications in the following areas:
- Finance
- Facilities & Infrastructure
- Community Sport and Participation
The board is committed to diversity and strongly encourages males, people with a strong understanding of the North-West Coast, Aboriginal people, people with diverse cultural heritage and people aged 18-30 years to nominate.
