The 2020 AGM for Gymnastics Tasmania will be held Saturday March 21 at 12.00pm at State Gymnastics Centre. 

Nominations are called for three elected director positions of the Gymnastics Tasmania Board.


Elections will take place at the 2020 Annual General Meeting on Saturday 21 March at the Tasmanian Gymnastics Centre, Kingborough Gymsports, 10 Kingston View Drive, Kingston TAS 7050 at 12pm.


Gymnastics Tasmania is a dynamic and vibrant organisation coordinating the delivery, participation and growth of gymnastics in Tasmania.


In particular the Board is working to achieve significant gains in participation growth and participation satisfaction as well as ensuring the provision of quality facilities, services and products that are safe and welcoming.


Gymnastics Tasmania is seeking Directors with experience in finance, facilities and infrastructure, and ethics and conduct as well as extensive networks in the Tasmanian sporting, not for profit and business sectors.


  • Achieved or currently completing tertiary level qualifications in finance or accounting
  • Experience in financial management in a sporting or not for profit organisation

Facilities and Infrastructure

  • Experience and demonstrated success in progressing significant facilities and infrastructure outcomes
  • Coordination and oversight of significant infrastructure projects
  • Experience in local or state government infrastructure planning
  • Experience in lobbying and political nous

Ethics and Conduct

  • Demonstrated experience in managing ethical and conduct related processes at board level or organisational level
  • Experience in applying good governance and integrity practices
  • Experience in applying a values-based approach to shaping organisational culture
  • Team player with strong communication skills

Every Affiliate Member of the Association shall be entitled to nominate one voting delegate who will have one vote at the AGM. The application pack and details are attached below.

Clubs are also encouraged to nominate candidates for the GTAS Board of Directors.
